Mixed-Media Canvas "FALL"

Hello!
I hope you had a great week-end.

I've made something new.
This canvas was interesting to create.

For background I used old book pages which were glued with Mod Podge and then gessoed. After that I took a Dots stencil and transparent 3D Matte Gel to create some texture on my canvas. To add a color I sprayed Smooch Spritz and Lindy's paints. The first one is very shimmery, that's gave a really great effect on the canvas.

The trunk and every single branch of the tree were carefully sculpted by hands and then colored. Leaves were punched from different papers. A swing I made from a tiny peace of chipboard and burlap thread. And for more dimension I mounted a swing on the foam pads.

"LOVE" canvas

Hi there!!!

I have a canvas to share today!

I began this project by first cutting light chipboard into pieces. Then glued them overlapping with gel medium.
To receive such grey shadow for my background I mixed black and white gesso.
Then added die-cuts, flowers and leaves, buttons and chipboards. Covered them all with the same mixture of gesso. Some of embellishments I painted in gold and for others just gave a touch of gold using gold paint and gold paste.

With this canvas I would like to enter into the challenge Bumaga-Maraka the moodboard of which is so rich and inspiring for me :)

Thanks for stepping by.
Hugs, Anna

Mixed-Media Jumbo Tag

Hello there!

To alter the tag was a challenge for me. Don't know why but it's not my format. Not yet...

I cut the tag from heavy chipboard and covered its both sides with brown acrylic paints.
The background texture was created using some tissue paper (previously stamped) with Mod Podge.
Then I used Lindy's sprays to give a vintage look to the tag. I did some wall fragments using a brick stencil and modeling paste, and colored it in brown with my brush.

Remember the old french book I wrote about earlier? So for this project I used some pages again! I just teared some stripes and distressed them. Also I colored a white cotton fabric with black tea - it gave the perfect vintage color. I used flowers (Prima's and homemade), chipboards, burlap thread, buttons, metals and wooden embellishments.

Hope you like it like I do :)
